Kluane, larger than all the National Parks in the Rockies combined, is still only part of the picture. Combined with protected areas in British Columbia and Alaska, it becomes known as "St. Elias World Heritage Complex," nothing less than the world's largest protected mountain parkland, twice the size of Switzerland, where wildlife abounds and people are only visitors. This is a vast and incredible land worthy of several days, a week, a month or even a lifetime of exploration.
